On August 18th, 2013 DALnet has officially approved the 2 help channels that I had applied to be recommended.

#Aide is now DALnet's recommended help channel for French assistance. The channel will assist users with commands for DALnet, scripting, mIRC setup/maintenance, and more.

#HTML is now DALnet's recommended HTML/Web assistance. The range of assistance will extend to the following areas:
  • MarkUp (html, xhtml, and xml)
  • Website Functionality (Tumblr, WordPress, Blogs, Forums, eCommerce, CMS, etc.)
  • Graphics, Mutli-media, Flash (Flash, graphics, audio, video, etc.)
  • Client-Side Scripting (AJAX, DHTML, DOM, JavaScript, Web 2.0, etc.)
  • Server-Side Scripting (ASP, Cold Fusion, Java, .NET, Perl, PHP, Python, etc.)
  • Databases (Access, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, Sybase, etc.)
  • Website Configuration & design.
  • General conversation (both on-topic & off-topic)

we're extremely excited to have the approval of DALnet for our channels. We've worked very hard to get them to this point, and are optimistic about the future of both our channels, and the DALnet chat network in general.

As we've said before, a majority of our staff can be found on the DALnet chat network. Some of the people who contribute to IRCnewbies are Keith, HorseC, and MindKill. Each of these individuals 'own' channels on this network.

Keith owns the channels #Teen, #Aide, #HTML and #mIRCSupport.
HorseC owns the channel #mIRC; which is an official help channel on the network.
MindKill owns the channel #Peshawar on DALnet.

Though there are thousands of channels on the network, you'll usually find these individuals in the channels listed above. These members of IRCnewbies are also the ones that will be writing on this blog and providing valuable information to our users.
